To Raise Total Alkalinity Fast Acting to Maintain Proper pH as well as Eliminate pH Bounce ClearRay®Alkalinity Up is designed to raise the total alkalinity of your spa or hot tub. Ideally, the total alkalinity should be between 80 and 150 ppm, and pH between 7.2 and 7.8. ClearRay®Alkalinity Up is fast acting, 100% soluble, and helps to eliminate pH bounce. Directions for Use: When the pH value of spa/hot tub water fluctuates from low to high and back again in a short time – requiring continual corrective doses of soda ash or acid – it is usually the result of low total alkalinity condition of the water. A low total alkalinity value may result either from very low alkaline water at the source, or from chemical reactions of alkaline material in the water with other chemicals which have been added to the spa/hot tub. In either event the condition is easily corrected by using this product to maintain the total alkalinity of spa/hot tub water between the values of 80-150 parts per million (ppm).
